Hair Coloring Q & A

What is the difference between regular hair color product and natural hair color product?

Natural hair color substitutes harsher chemicals with plant derivatives, which leaves your hair shinier and healthier. We use AVEDA hair color, which is 97% to 99% naturally derived.

Does natural hair color cover grey as well as regular hair color products?

Yes, it works just as well, leaving the hair a bit shinier and healthier. We specially formulate AVEDA hair color which is low or non- ammonia. It covers grey hair 100%.

Is there another product I can substitute ammonia bleach with?

Yes! We use AVEDA enlightener which is ammonia free and damage free.

Why does my hair color fade?

Many factors can cause fading.

1

Environmental is a large part, the sun can take a lot out of your hair. Also if you swim a lot, either in a pool or in the ocean.

2

Styling tools. If you are not using the proper tools, it can cause this result.

3

Wrong home care products which can be too harsh or too artificial.

What can you do to prevent hair color from fading?

There are several ways. To prevent fading:

1

Invest in good hair care products and tools. You want to use natural hair care shampoo, conditioner, etc. We can always help you choose the right type of product, and it doesn’t have to be expensive.

2

We do a double pigment deposit to your hair, and after every color service we follow up with a color treatment gloss.

3

Home color glosser always works very well against color fading.

I have highlighted blond hair and it turns brassy fast. Is there any solution?

To avoid hair turning brassy, we always ensure getting accurate formulation for our clients. You want to avoid getting low lights, because low light color will eventually fade to a brassy tone. It is very difficult to fix. Instead, we don’t over highlight hair and we keep it very natural looking.

My hair is very damage from hair coloring. Is there a way to still get hair color without the damage?

Of course! The first step is to have a consultation with a stylist to see the condition of your hair. Coloring hair the correct way should never be damaging. Ammonia free hair color will condition and add shine.

We use Aveda haircolor - 97% naturally derived formula and non-ammonia color which delivers superior permanent color that resists fading-keeps hair shiny and essentially damage-free.
